About Me:
Duncan Butterfield is the driving force behind Green i Signs. Having been in the motor vehicle industry since leaving school and studying at Darlington College of Technology (City & Guilds in Vehicle Refinishing & Business Management) and Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College (Archaeology), he worked in vehicle refinishing, auto electrics and car audio.
Following this he joined the sign industry in 1990, working in London, Nottingham, Derby and finally settling in Darlington in 1995.

During his time with Graphic Systems in Darlington, Duncan has had the opportunity to take part in the re-branding of Darlington's premier commercial rental space, Lingfield Point, in 1999, 2003 & 2008. Duncan has contributed to the complete re-branding of all Taylor Woodrow UK construction sites in September 2001 & September 2008.

In December 2009 Green I Signs become an approved supplier to VINCI Construction UK Limited who have an annual turnover exceeding £1 billion.

In January 2010 Duncan Butterfield's Green I Signs become an approved signage supplier for New Lodge, Windsor. www.newlodge.co.uk

In May 2010 Duncan Butterfield's Green I Signs become an approved signage supplier for Longcross Construction who's clients include, Tesco's & Sainsbury's.

Customer Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
Orders are taken verbally and via email.  These are binding contracts once delivery has been actioned.  All special orders are excluded from the Distance Selling Regulations and other legislation.  Any returns must be received by us in a resaleable condition.
If a credit account is opened, you will be sent an invoice.  You must settle all invoices within 28 days of the date of the invoice.
Delivery charges and timescales will vary depending on the products ordered.
We shall be under no liability for any delay or failure to deliver products if the failure is beyond our control.  All damages in transit must be recorded as such on the third party delivery documentation, otherwise they will be deemed to have been delivered in good order.
All risk in the products you order shall pass to you when they are delivered to the delivery address specified in your order.
All terms and conditions and trading shall be governed by English law.  All contracts shall be concluded in English.

Privacy and Security Policy
Green i Signs is committed to respecting the privacy rights of all persons visiting the website and our customers.
We respect your right to privacy and will only process data you privide in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998, the privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 and other applicable privacy laws.
We may collect the following data about you:
Your name.
Your billing address, delivery address, phone, fax and email address.
When you place an order, your payment card details.
We do not reproduce or share this information with any other company.
We will never ask you to confirm any credit card details via email.
You have the right to ask what personal data that we hold about you and you have the right to ask us to correct any of the data we hold about you.

Environmental Policy
Doing the Green thing.......
It is our policy as an organisation to behave and conduct our business in such a manner as to prevent contamination to all aspects of the environment, land, water and air.
We undertake to support, with policies and methods, an environmentally sound method of carrying out all the individual tasks we know that we perform in fulfilling contracts.

Our Green Purchasing Policy is commited to purchase goods and services which help minimise the environmental impact.
Where possible we purchase goods which can be manufactured, used and disposed of in an environmentally sustainable way.
Where possible we purchase goods and services locally in order to minimise the impact of transportation and to support the local community.
We work in partnership with our suppliers and contractors to help them improve their environmental performance.  
We consider the following attributes when purchasing goods:
Recycled content, reusability, durability and repairability.

Our Green Working Policy covers the impact we have on the environment in our processing and manufacturing of products.
Carfully considering our use of paper for printing.
Using email instead of letters or faxes for communication.
Office waste paper and card is recycled along with production waste paper and card.
Ink cartridges are recycled.
Energy saving light bulbs are used wherever possible.  
Lights and electrical equipment is switched off when not in use.
Packaging is reused and then recycled at end of life, where possible.

Our Green Supply Policy is committed to work with our customers to reduce the waste of our end product.
We refurbish, where possible, the goods that we supply and reuse or recycle some parts of the product.

We trade responsibly and ethically in order to support the corporate social responsibilities of our customers.
