Glacial Art is essentially the combined skills, hard work and creativity of myself and my good buddy and business partner Mat Chaloner. The growing reputation and success of our business is due to one main factor: We absolutely love what we do! We simply love making things and always have done since we first used scissors on cereal boxes and Sellotape on toilet roll tubes.

Before Glacial Art Ice Sculptors came about, we both worked on a wide range of projects in the creative industry: From hard-edged models of prototype military tanks to fake chocolate bars for TV commercials, from costumes for Angelina Jolie and Colin Farrell to Puppets for the Lion King Theatre show. We have worked in clay, wax, wood, metal, rubbers and resins. All the time making things and learning things from some of the most talented creative wizards in the UK and we loved every minute of it.

It was Matty C who fell into the Ice game whilst we were working as freelance artists in London. He was taken in and trained up by one of the original masters of the craft. And he in turn thought me everything he had learned.

During the 3 years we have had our own business, we have designed and created Ice sculptures for clients such as Jaguar, Reebok and Gucci - we did an Ice sculpture for the MTV music awards and got invited to the main show and after party- we have even been out drinking with Quentin Tarrantino (Twice). Now we have just returned from an International Ice Sculpting Competition in Latvia with a First Place award.

I’m not trying to boast and I hope I’m not sounding arrogant. But I am proud of what we have achieved. Glacial Art Ice Sculptors is with out doubt growing into one of the most recognised and reputable Ice Sculptors in The UK and I think we are allowed to be a little bit proud of what we have done.

We work damn hard. We put everything we have into each job no matter how big or small. And we absolutely Love doing it.
